Time only
Guitar metronome
Practice falls apart when the click is late. This metronome schedules clicks on the audio clock, a little ahead of time, instead of trusting a drifting timer. Set a tempo from a slow ballad to a fast pick, choose two to seven beats in the bar, and the first beat is accented. The dots show where you are.
Tap when you already feel it
If you can sing the groove but not name the number, tap the button on the pulse. A few taps inside a few seconds become a tempo. Then leave the slider alone and play. The metronome does not follow you if you rush. That is the point of a click.
Not a tuner, not a drum machine
There is no pitch here and no song. Pair it with the fretboard trainer or the practice planner when you want a block of minutes at one tempo. Subdivide in your head or with your foot; the click stays on the beat you set.
Questions
- Will it speed up on its own?
- No. If the click feels like it wandered, it is usually the playing. Restart if you changed the tempo while it was running.
- Can I use it with headphones?
- Yes. The click goes to the same output as the rest of the page. Keep it quieter than the guitar.
